Committees serve a great purpose in building the Kingdom. Those involved can feel a deep sense of inclusion and ownership in their Christian community. Committees should, however, be like theology--always evolving--always... always... pointed toward Christ. Perhaps such groups should exist just long enough to accomplish a goal, so that personal desires and opinion (though always on behalf of the church) do not insidiously begin (via our human nature) to take precedence over God's goal for the group.
What is a committee? When two or more are gathered for an organization to help move it forward?
